Our practice has been designed for your comfort and peace of mind. Each staff member will do their very best to help you and make every effort to be sure you have a pleasant visit with us. We have taken care to provide a service that practices to high standards to ensure you get the best possible dental experience.

Most treatment only requires a few visits. We aim to see all our patients on time. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, we are running late we will inform you.
This explanatory page is aimed at explaining what happens during the first visit to our practice. For you safety, we will spend some time reviewing your past medical history and past dental history. We will also discuss your concerns and requirements for dental care. Once we have discussed your reasons for attending we will thoroughly examine your dental condition. For most dental examinations this consists of checking every surface of each tooth, an assessment of your gum (periodontal) condition, examination of your ‘oral mucosa’ (lips, cheek, palate, tongue) and oral cancer screen. It is usually standard to take dental x-rays also to adequately diagnose any dental problems. In some situations, moulds of your teeth may be required also, as well as photographs. We will explain if this is required in your case.
After the examination, we will discuss what treatment is required. If you have any question we will be pleased to answer them. Prior to doing any treatment, in the interests of transparency and good practice, you will be provided with a written estimate of what each appointment will cost. If you do not receive one please ask us - it is important you have this information.
If you believe you are covered by PRSI we will ask the Department of Social Welfare for confirmation (this usually takes a day or two) and we will ask you to sign their forms as treatment progresses. Many items of service are covered by PRSI which enables you to have a discount from the standard Private Fees. We apply the discount during treatment. The Social Welfare will not contact you directly unless they require further information from you.
The policy within this practice is to collect payments from patients after each appointment. This is good practice as it leads to less confusion during a course of dental treatment. We also ask that, if possible, you give us 24 hours notice if you cannot keep an appointment. This allows us to make alternate arrangements, perhaps to see someone who requires urgent treatment. Persistent failure to give us no notice of cancelling an appointment will incur a charge of €40.
Thank You
